Kiss-cutting separates the sticker's vinyl face from the surrounding material without cutting through the backing. The backing remains as a larger carrier for the peelable sticker. It is removed before the sticker is applied.
A kiss cut does not establish a glossy finish or outdoor durability. Those are separate material and finish properties. For an individually shaped backing as well as a shaped sticker, compare the die-cut sticker.
